These images are from my recent trip to Kenya & Tanzania in August/September 2010, which includes:
Masai Mara, Serengeti, Amboseli, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Nakuru.
One of the most exicting times to visit the Masai Mara Game Reserve is during the time the wildebeest migrate and have to swim across the river to reach the grazing area in the Seregeti. Huge herds gather at the edge of the Mara River. Once one jumps in and starts swimming across, the rest of them follow. They are often joined by topi & zebra. Crocodiles are lurking nearby as well, menacing animals as they traverse the river and grabbing weak or small ones as they cross...
